Absentee Blogger
Sorry I've been MIA for a while but I hope things are starting to calm down so that I can catch up here. We've moved to a new house and completely redecorated the interior from roof to flooring and everything in between, my computer crashed - thank god that we have EVERYTHING backed up. But that just means it's taking me forever to reload it all to the way it was. Emily's birthday is in 3 weeks and I haven't done anything yet to prepare. Why can't money grow on trees? And I've been begging James to take me to the fair. We haven't gone in a couple of years and I miss it! Anything else? Oh, I'm sure there is! :o)

Tragedy for Brian's Family
Brian (Jimmy's brother), Sandie (his wife), Ashley (her daughter), Ashley's boyfriend, friends Todd and Desiree were in Havasu for the weekend to celebrate Memorial Day and Ashley's 21st birthday which was on Monday. On Monday, while parked in the channel at Lake Havasu, Ashley's boyfriend was flipping off the back of the boat into the channel and the third time he did it he must have hit shallow water. Ashley found him floating at the back of the boat. There was a doctor in a nearby boat that helped them and the lake patrol were only a few boats down and were able to assist them quickly. He was airlifted to Las Vegas to the hospital there. He was in a coma, on a breathing machine, until additional test could be run. On Wednesday, they finished their tests and the doctors said that he had crushed his spinal cord, blood was not getting to the brain and he didn't have any brain activity. Later that day they took him off of life support and his family has donated his organs. This is a devastating tragedy for their family. He has a 3 year old son from a previous relationship and this happened on Ashley's 21st birthday to her first serious boyfriend.
I'm back!
Sorry for taking almost 4 months off from blogging. I'm going to try to play catch up. So you're going to see a lot of back dated posts popping up this week. Hopefully it should only take this week to catch it up!! :o)
Ugh! Packing!
Marie's house is in escrow and is due to close on July 6th. This weekend we started packing her so that as the month progresses we aren't doing anything at the last minute. We're going to try to make a trip to Mom's house at least once a week to continue to pack and get ready for the move to wherever! We still haven't found a new house yet but there is still time.
My First Mother's Day!
Happy Mother's Day!!!
As my first year as a mother we had a very relaxing day. Jimmy made me breakfast and he surprised me with my new diaper bag/purse! Okay, I picked it out but he bought it at the store and picked out the color!

In the afternoon we drove down to Brian and Sandie's house because Brian was hosting a dinner for Marie, Sandie, Betty and I.
Opening Weekend
James went on his annual Guy's weekend with Ed, Mike, Brad, and Danny for opening weekend of fishing season up in Big Pine. Last year they stayed up for I think it was 6 days but this year they only did 4 days. Luckily there were fish. They were worried because the department of fish and game didn't stock the area until the night they arrived to camp. Until then they thought there weren't going to be anything to catch this year. He brought back 5 good sized fish this year and probably caught 30 plus, overall.
*TMI Warning* Poop Talk!
I'm taking it easy on solids with Emily right now because she finally went poop today after going over 9 days without any movement. On day 7 I spoke to the PA at her pediatricians office and she said to give Emily pears. So that night she got no cereal and pureed pears. Nothing. So on day 8, I called the Dr. office again and the PA said give her pear juice and no solids. Then she said that if she doesn't go by day 9 to take her to the ER. (I should mention that Emmy's ped, Dr. Sharma was on vacation still for Easter.) Well Friday, day 9, there was still no poop and her poor stomach was all big like a budda belly. We got ready to take Emmy to the ER when I told Jimmy that I wanted to swing by the peds office one more time since I knew Dr. Sharma was finally in the office and get his opinion. His office was on the way to the ER anyways. He said there isn't any reason to take her to the ER just yet but if by Monday (12 days) she still hasn't gone then to come back in the office. Thank goodness my Mommy instincts were right on to get the doctor's opinion. Because after leaving Dr. Sharma's an hour later she finally went..... and went.... and went! I want to say it was probably about 4-5 cups worth! Poor little girl! I'm going to take it easy on solids now since her little system is getting backed up. But at least we avoided a trip to the ER!
